The goal of the project is to build a centre of contemporary glassworking art, which will provide glassworking artists from all over Czech republic with space and equipment which are necessary for their artworks and which will also in a form of exposition of contemporary glassworking art provide artists with an inspiration and a source of knowledge about glassworking techniques and procedures. The Centre, which will allow even the preparation of large artworks does not exist yet in Czech Republic. Promoter of this project is the Foundation of J. Viewegh Glassworks František in Sázava, partners of this project are Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, Czech Glass society and Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec nad Nisou. Centre (ateliers, workshops, expositions, lectures) will be located in reconstructed historic glassworks František in Sázava (cultural monument). Program of the center such as plans, residential stays, seminars, educational events, exhibitions, competitions etc. will prepare and on the administration of the Centre will participate reputable glassworking artists and experts from partner organizations.
